What will I learn? This course will help students to gain knowledge and experience to work in a professional grooming salon.You will learn:
Correct handling techniques
Breeds and Coat types
Recognition of common health problems and basic canine first aid
Brushing and de-matting techniques
Ear care
Eye care
De-shedding
Advanced washing, blasting and drying techniques, tail and feet tidy ups
Selecting and maintaining equipment
Customer relations
Course Details:
This course consists of 15 days. Students must complete 15 days in order to receive a certificate.
Students are required to bring a camera to take before and after pictures of groom. Students also need to bring a notebook to take notes during the day
Appropriate clothing is required whilst grooming.
Theory days will be included in the 15 days.
All grooming equipment must be cleaned at the end of each day.
Course will commence at 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (times may vary)
Students must inform tutor in advance when unable to attend the course.
Students must always follow health and safety procedures.
